What is StemWave?

StemWave is a medical device that has been cleared by the FDA. It harnesses the power of acoustic waves, which are safe and gentle, to stimulate the body’s inherent healing abilities. This treatment does not involve any invasive procedures and is specifically created to assist patients who are experiencing pain and inflammation due to musculoskeletal conditions.

How Does it Work?

When these waves penetrate damaged tissue or areas of inflammation, it activates a natural response within the body as if a new injury has occurred. This immediately kickstarts the biological healing process by sending healing agents to help reduce inflammation and repair damaged tissue in the injured area. During the process of identifying damaged tissue or inflammation, we will maneuver the treatment source around the injured area. When the waves emitted by the treatment source reach healthy tissue, you will likely not perceive much sensation. However, when the waves encounter damaged tissue, you may experience mild pain or discomfort that is manageable, without the need for numbing cream or anesthesia.
